(01)Overview

A marketplace that feels safer, faster, kinder.

SwapSpace is a modern alternative to Craigslist — a marketplace designed to make buying, selling, and trading local items smarter, safer, and easier.

I led the full UX process: usability review, competitor analysis, user interviews, defining the audience, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and validation through usability testing.

The goal — a community-driven, user-friendly platform that inspires trust and streamlines the entire journey.

(02)The Problem

Current marketplaces feel stuck in 2005.

01

Outdated in design

02

Hard to navigate on mobile

03

Missing trust — no seller verification, no reviews

04

No advanced search or filtering

Users need a modern, reliable, and accessible platform for local commerce — one they can actually trust.

(03)User Flow

Two journeys, one entry point.

Every user lands on the same screen — then chooses to buy or to sell. Mapping both paths early kept the navigation shallow and the checkout under four taps.

(04)The Solution

Buying and selling that actually feels good.

  • A modern, mobile-first browsing experience
  • Built-in trust — seller verification, reviews & ratings
  • Smart search with categories, filters, and saved queries
  • Community-driven feel to make local commerce inviting
(05)The Process

Research-driven, from interviews to prototype.

(06)Visual Language

Friendly and trustworthy — the two things Craigslist never was.

A confident blue signals trust, soft mint softens the experience, and generous whitespace makes browsing feel calm instead of chaotic.
